Hi all!

Another factor that I have observed with home networks is that they have allowed the home IT world to take a new direction. In my blog, I have mentioned a lot about the new home computing direction where the home IT environment consists primarily of a wireless broadband router at the network-Internet edge with its wireless network segment serving at least one laptop computer that is used wherever the user wants to use it. These setups have made certain "future-book" and "sci-fi" concepts like the videophone become real thanks to Skype and Windows Live Messenger. The same "hot and cold running Internet" has promoted cost savings in many ways like the ability to talk to family and friends overseas for next to nothing.

What could this lead to with the home network technology?

With regards,

Simon Mackay
